Dyno Nobel has released the second issue of its quarterly magazine, Groundbreakers, continuing its focus on the people, insights and technologies shaping safer, more resilient and more sustainable resource extraction around the world.
Dyno Nobel CEO and Managing Director Mauro Neves said Issue 2 reflects an industry operating in an increasingly unpredictable environment – where meaningful progress depends not only on innovation, but on judgement, experience and collaboration.
“The resources industry is facing greater variability than ever before – from climate volatility and supply chain disruption to workforce pressures and rapid technological change,” Mr Neves said.
“In that context, performance isn’t defined by big breakthroughs alone. It’s shaped by thousands of early decisions, made well, and by people who understand how to apply technology under real operating conditions.”
Featuring stories from across Dyno Nobel’s global operations, Groundbreakers Issue 2 explores how history, precision and practical sustainability are converging to drive long-term value.
“This edition looks at where sustainability moves from concept to practice – from climate resilient mine design and water stewardship, to drill and blast technologies that reduce downstream energy use,” Mr Neves said.
“It also shines a light on the people behind the work – the engineers, trainers and crews whose expertise, teamwork and discipline make progress possible, often in some of the most challenging environments on earth.”
Mr Neves said the issue also reflects a growing recognition that safety, performance and wellbeing are inseparable.
“Whether we’re talking about the science of neuroplasticity, safety leadership through SAFEX, or building capability through training, the message is the same: sustainable performance is built long before the first ground is broken.”
